About Me

A 30-year veteran of recruitment and founder of Matrix Executive, I provide practical advice, consulting, and coaching to recruitment businesses and recruitment owners to grow, achieve their goals, and overcome hurdles to business growth.

Initially, as Managing Director of renowned City recruiter Jonathan Wren, I took the business from one office in London to a multi-site UK-wide recruiter. I was the youngest ever appointed Director and Managing Director.

I subsequently joined the Board of Adecco (UK) PLC. I became an MD of multi-disciplined recruitment business Huntress Group, an award-winning Sunday Times 100 Fast Track company. Additionally, I founded data recruitment and data consultancy, Ammonite Group.  

I have an extensive understanding of recruitment from directing and owning businesses in that space and use this knowledge and experience to help solve recruitment problems.

I deeply appreciate the challenges of running an SME business from starting 3 successful businesses of my own and I draw on this understanding to advise owners and senior leadership teams on how to improve and grow themselves and their companies.

I have been a Board member and Non-Exec Director within limited companies and PLCs, so I chair, steer and advise in Board meetings and hold members accountable to their commitments.

Welcome to Matrix Executive

After 20 years of working in the corporate and mid-market recruitment world, I set up Matrix Executive to help SME recruitment business owners to grow their companies more quickly, make better decisions, and make business more rewarding.

Why SMEs? Because they can affect change at speed and be more decisive than many people in the corporate world. 

As a business owner, you wear many hats: developing and delivering your services, marketing, sales, HR, operations, finances, etc. You often don’t have time to think, let alone talk things through properly.

I add value by leveraging my recruitment experience of complex challenges, success, and failure to provide a fresh perspective, and a clear roadmap and avoid costly mistakes. I help you create a business that is more successful and potentially less dependent on you.
